The Dean of the MU Faculty of Education announces the eighth annual Educator of the Year Award, which recognizes alumni for their innovative contribution to the development of education and positive impact on students, schools and the community. You can nominate eligible individuals until Feb. 7, 2025.

Update of the operational and organizational regulations of the faculty
Two updated faculty standards went into effect in early 2025. These are the operating and organizational regulations.
- The Organizational Regulations were updated following the establishment of a new Department of Internships, which now manages student internships for all faculty departments. The head of the new department has become Bc. Eliška Bařina Barochová.
- The updated operating rules are now uniform for all faculty buildings and also newly regulate the rules concerning access to the faculty buildings. It specifies the range of persons who are prohibited from entering the faculty buildings, and it also clearly prohibits the entry of weapons into the faculty premises.

Mgr. Jan Čech, Ph.D., and Mgr. Ing. Lubomír Prokeš, Ph.D., from our faculty, participated in the CaviPlasma project, which won the TA ČR Award in the COMPANY category and became the absolute winner of the Czech Idea 2024 competition. Congratulations on this extraordinary success!

On 6 February 2025, the MU Faculty of Education will host an event full of workshops and discussions on media and technology, organised by the Teacher Platform.

The year 2024 brought meaningful changes through volunteer activities at our faculty. Together, we supported those in need financially and personally. Thank you to everyone involved and we look forward to more projects in 2025!

The Something different certificate, a long-term professional project implemented by the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University, has become the basis for the newly issued Decree No.432/2024.This approach, aimed at supporting individual development through verbal assessment, represents a significant step towards the modernisation of the education system.

Elisabeth Hladik, a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow from the United States, works at the Institute for Research on Inclusive Education at PED MUNI. As part of her research project, she supports the participation of Czech children with developmental difficulties in cultural and community life, thus contributing to the development of inclusion and international cooperation.

A doctoral conference was held at the Faculty of Education of MU, which allowed students to present their research and receive valuable feedback from experts, including Assoc. Jan Slavik from ZČU. According to Prof. Tomáš Janik, Vice Dean for Research and Academic Affairs, the aim was to create a space for an open exchange of ideas between young researchers and experienced experts. The conference became an inspiring platform for knowledge sharing, professional debates and networking.

Selection procedure for erasmus+ study stays 2025/2026
Do you want to spend a semester abroad? Put in your application to the selection procedure for study stays for the academic year 2025/2026, which runs from January 27 to March 3, 2025!
Here's what you need to know:
- You submit your application through the so-called Declaration of Application. Erasmus exchange, where you can choose any department.
- Only one application can be submitted, in which you will indicate up to three priority choices.
- The selection process takes place in two rounds – the first round is provided by the Erasmus coordinators of the departments, the final nomination is made by the International Office.

Masaryk University has announced a new year of the internal competition for student projects "KoMUNItní fond". The aim of the internal competition is to transparently support the implementation of sustainable and socially responsible projects that fulfil and promote the social role of Masaryk University, are internally and externally transferable and support cooperation between students and employees.
