Description This contribution aims to describe the artistic work of the composer Miklós Rózsa and place it in the context of contemporary artistic production. As a classically trained composer, Rózsa worked in the field of concert music, where he artfully combined elements of the classical music of the early 20th century with folk music of his native country, Hungary. However, he made a much more significant mark in the history of film music as an influential representative of the second generation of Hollywood composers in the so-called classical period. Moreover, his film work is considered to be the boundary between classical and modern film music, which the presentation demonstrates through an analysis of numerous musical samples.
