Description | For more than one hundred years, specific cultural institutions children's museums have been developing their activities in the world. From the very beginning they met with a good response of general public and with support and positive response of experts particularly teachers and psychologists. What is the reason for the good response? How were the children's museums established? What was their development like? What makes them attractive for children visitors and their parents? What does their specificity consist in? What activities do they offer to their visitors? What are their current development trends? The present study reacts to the above mentioned questions and analyses the basic preconditions of the birth, genesis, present situation, typical features and selected development trends of museums for children and young people, namely in the Czech and especially the global context. |
