Medallions of Department Members

Oldřiška Buchanan is a doctoral student at the Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. Her dissertation is about developing self-assessment skills in upper elementary school students using formative feedback guided by artificial intelligence. For her, educational research is an opportunity to provide innovative insights and contribute to the advancement of educational quality. She is motivated by the belief that novel approaches can improve the Czech educational system.

Her primary interests include formative assessment, metacognition, and student motivation. Oldřiška is a dedicated teacher who strives to enhance instruction and support each student's potential. She is now employed at an elementary school after previously working in a high school.
