Martin Fico is a doctoral student and assistant at the Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. His research focuses on educational policy issues such as the status of the teaching profession, support for socially disadvantaged students, and student adaptation in Ukraine.
He previously served as the principal investigator on an IGA project and has coordinated Specific Research at the department for several years. In addition, he participates in research projects for the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR) and the National Institute for Research on Socioeconomic Impacts of Diseases and Systemic Risks.
Martin discusses his research interests with students taking the course Research in Educational Practice. In addition to research, he teaches about pedagogical communication, educational entrepreneurship, school management, and an introduction to pedagogy and psychology.
