Miroslav Jurčík is an assistant professor at the Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. His research focuses on alternative education, specifically Montessori pedagogy.
He is currently working on a project funded by the Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR) to meet the individual educational needs of all students. Along with his implementation team, he created the didactic tool “Karty Bezrákosky”, which has spread successfully not only among student teachers but also into teachers' offices throughout the country.
At the department, he teaches pedagogical communication as well as Introduction to Pedagogy and Psychology. He strives to share his enthusiasm for elementary school teaching with his students, as he believes that this level of education is extremely valuable.
