Jan Nehyba is an assistant professor at the Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. He discusses topics such as challenging student behavior, the use of natural language processing in education and psychotherapy, reflective practice, group reflection, teacher self-study, and the role of metaphors in the educational process. He co-developed DeePsy, a therapist-focused application for routine outcome measurement and psychotherapy recording processing. He is interested in applying cognitive science to the educational process, particularly the concept of embodied cognition, in collaboration with the HUME lab for Experimental and Humanities Science. His dissertation examined experiential reflective learning, which he also taught at the Academic Center for Personal Development. He now works as a Prompt Engineer and Clinical Advisor at a startup called Upheal.
