Jana Obrovská is an assistant professor at the Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. She teaches courses in the pedagogical-psychological module, including Research in Educational Practice and Pedagogical-Psychological Diagnostics for Teaching Practice.
Her research interests include student diversity, inclusive education, the role of ethnicity and socioeconomic disadvantage in the educational process, and social inequalities. She specializes in qualitative research methods, particularly school ethnography. She has been a principal investigator on research projects supported by the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR).
She also has experience with international research projects (Horizon 2020). She is currently the principal investigator of a GAČR project focused on addressing individual educational needs of all students and a member of the National Institute for Research on Socioeconomic Impacts of Diseases and Systemic Risks (SYRI).
