Kateřina Vlčková is an associate professor at the Department of Education at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. She specializes in pedagogical research methodology, specifically mixed-methods research. She obtained professional experience through internships in Germany and the United Kingdom. She teaches courses in the pedagogical-psychological module, including pedagogical research, diagnostics, and evaluation, in both Czech and English.

She coordinates the department's conceptual research team and serves on the state final examination committee. She has worked on grant projects focusing on teacher education, classroom management strategies, classroom power dynamics, foreign language learning strategies, and curriculum development. She helped adapt several questionnaires for the Czech context. As a principal investigator, she has led nine projects and participated in 22 basic, applied, and specific research and development projects.

She has co-authored 11 books and 48 studies. She has spent the past 11 years evaluating the results of science and research in the Czech Republic. She reviews professional journals and international conferences. She supervises doctoral students studying school pedagogy and foreign language didactics and serves on departmental board. In 2023, she received the Masaryk University Award for her outstanding performance as a doctoral supervisor.
