Popis This article contains a short overview of the participation of Ottoman Empire in World War I. The Ottomans entered this conflict at the instigation of the Germans and their main partner was Enver Pasha. Enver Pasha subsequently started to influence all military and strategical decisions. His ideas about fighting only one enemy at the time did not materialize because within the two years from the outbreak of the war the Ottoman Empire was obliged to fight on six fronts simultaneously. The most devastating fights were those against the Russians in the Caucasus, but they came to an end in 1917 when Russia was torn apart by revolution. Ottoman Empire did not survive for long because it too collapsed at the end of the World War I and disintigrated.
