| Popis | Suspicion towards the other and the unknown is deeply imprinted in humans through millions of years of evolution and is the modus operandi of our social brain, causing countless conflicts and misunderstandings. In an ever more globalized world and growing inter-cultural contact, it is crucial to understand these social biases and to find ways of overcoming them. Knowledge about, attitudes towards, and relationships with others can positively reinforce one another. They can improve through shared experience and collective rituals that have the power to temporarily transcend group boundaries and transform identities. |
