Popis One of the most important aspects of teaching is finding ways to motivate your learners. Motivation is particularly relevant for young adolescent learners on the verge of deciding on future job careers. How can you encourage students to take responsibility for their acquisition of a foreign language? To achieve this, project classes offer a suitable form of learning that complements the regular structure of teaching routines in schools. The additional value comprises interdisciplinary thinking as well as stimulation of learner autonomy and students’ willingness to cooperate with both peers and project partners outside the school. This article reports on a project week that was designed to both promote motivation for foreign language learning, and also to raise students’ awareness about future job perspectives with regard to their foreign language acquisition.
