| Popis | The contribution focuses on the issue of the character of the school, as an important institution providing educational activities, and discusses the concept of education in dichotomous concept of upbringing and schooling. This concept relates to the issue of individualism and collectivism, socialization in the field of upbringing as a part of education respectively. In the field of schooling as a part of education, it focuses on the dichotomy between the general and professional focus of education at each level of the education system. The discussion of the above dichotomies is supplemented by information from the current discourse of the issue in the Czech environment and connected with selected documents of educational policy. |
