Popis | The role of the manager in the company is irreplaceable. Manager needs to have the appropriate competencies to be able to perform tasks in company. The spectrum of competencies of a manager is very wide. The undeniable competencies of a manager are abilities in the field of business management, whether at the strategic level or at the level of day-to-day operations, in the field of leading people and teams, searching for opportunities, or business skills. Less often, the manager's competence includes the ability to correctly anticipate the development of future indicators affecting the company's activities, thus the ability to create correct expectations. The article deals with the expectations of managers of Czech construction companies regarding key indicators of the development of construction industry in the Czech Republic and analyses the relationship between these expectations and real development in the construction sector. The analysis suggests that even managers of major construction companies in the Czech Republic are not capable of adequate expectations and their expectations significantly differ from reality. |
