Popis | The presentation is concerned with the lecturer's possibilities to operate with literature in teaching Czech as a foreign language. Within this area, there are several options to bring a literary text. The most common are adaptations of some well-known authors, later the original works. Using children's books in teaching a foreign language to adults is not very common. On the other hand, are children's books created for youths only? Some specific genres could be considered as "all-age books" under certain conditions. The piece will focus on specifics on literature for children and apply them to the educational process. It will also investigate the positives and the negatives of selected genres in children's literature, like Czech popular science books, historical legends, and author's fairy tales. Not only do texts of writers like Jiří Černý, Petr Sís or Josef Lada obtain natural language learning, but also cultural facts and historical information. Moreover, the big part of those books includes illustrations that bring another aesthetic pleasure. Taking those elements on board could lead to inspiration to enrich language courses. |
