Popis | Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease characterized mainly by memory disorders. From a philological point of view, it is the language disorders that are of interest to neuro- and psycho-linguists and that are also characteristic of this disease. As the disease progresses, the affected person tends to produce neologisms. In lexicology, a neologism is a new word or a new meaning of a word that already exists in the language, whereas in the medical context, it is a word created by the mentally ill person by deformation of phonemes, substitution, etc. The purpose of this paper will be to compare the two terminological traditions, linguistic and medical, to better understand how and when the term "migrated" from one discipline to the other. |
