| Popis | The contribution proposes a review of studies on modality and modal coding in Sicilian that takes into account both dialectological works and those that have investigated, in an in-depth and theoretically oriented manner, some specific areas of the modal domain. It also introduces here a collection of essays devoted to the 'surroundings' of modality, within which the peripheries of the category are explored, its contiguity with other notional domains and its interactions with a variety of pragmatic domains are investigated, taking into account the studies of the last decades that have devoted increasing attention to these topics. |
