| Popis | InterCorp Parallel Corpus has been running since 2008. The work on it is not currently proceeding at the scale and pace it used to, which perhaps does not mean its end or loss of importance. However, two lesser-known parallel corpora were created in the Czech Republic a few years before it: Kačenka (1997) and Kačenka 2 (2002/2003) at the Faculty of Arts MU and ČNPK (2002) at the Faculty of Arts MU. All of them are still functional and have given rise to many student, qualification and habilitation theses. Nevertheless, working with corpora in general remains more of a hobby than a standard in teaching (Káňa, 2023). This deficit is the starting point of the problem and opened the space for the final discussion. |
