The Faculty of Education at Masaryk University has been the subject of an equal opportunities audit in recent months, which focused on ensuring equal opportunities and planning support activities. The findings will be used to develop the MU Gender Equality Plan 2025-2028. We thank all those who participated in this initiative aimed at improving working conditions and opportunities at the faculty.
The aim of the audit was to find out how academic and non-academic employees perceive their working conditions. It focused on various aspects of working life, from work organisation, communication, team management, opportunities for growth, benefits and the possibility of combining work and family. The audit is part of the activities of the HR Award and will become the basis for ensuring that equal opportunities and good working conditions do not just remain on paper. The results will serve as a basis for the development of the University's Gender Equality Plan (GEP MU) for the period 2025-2028, which is currently under preparation.
The audit was conducted in cooperation with the external Gender Information Centre NORA (GIC NORA) and ran from April to July 2024, in accordance with the requirements defined by the Gender Audit Standard of the Government Office of the Czech Republic and according to the methodological guidelines of the MU Rector's Office.
