| Description | The problems of health literacy is expanded in the world but in the Czech Republic know this concept only a relatively narrow group of experts. In our opinion it would be helpful if the term will be spread among the general public. The health literacy isnt even in school documents. We focus on the possibilities to progress of critical health literacy in the field of Health Education. We present our research in first aid and we focus on methods that we can use in the Health Education and in the health literacy. The aim of this work was analyse of knowledge of the pedagogical students in the field of First Aid (by a test). The First Aid is a significant topic of health literay. The sample and methods: a group of 623 students (102 students was from department of Healt Education, 521 with other departments). The method was a written test (created by the author of this thesis). Results: the awareness of the respondents are lower than what we expected (75 %) - at 65% in all group and 74% in the group of students from the department of health education. Conclusion: The findings showed lower level of foreknowledge, which points out the inadequatepreparation of students within the field of First Aid. The change in the education is necessary. |
