Description The onomastics and dialectology were not formed in the same time in 2. half of 19. century. Whereas the development of the dialectology were evoked by philological positivism and by interests in the popular culture, interests in proper names were formed often in the marginal spheres of the philology, etymology, geography or history. Czech dialectology did not miss out dialectal character of proper names, evidence of it gives interest in the names of married women. It is considered as a matter forming of names (proper names), however as a matter of word forming. Author explains the difference ot the two concepts by the arguments of the general onomastic theory.
