Description The use of cartoons is becoming more popular in education including instruction of chemistry. Their graphical form is suitable for the Net Generation that has the ability to read visual images and its members are intuitive visual communicators. So abstract concepts are often easier to grasp when cartoon is used as a teaching tool. ICT is being used to create cartoons. Based on the design-based research, we found that the use of cartoons increases the efficiency of educational process. Building on these findings, we bring several ways of using cartoons in teaching chemistry.
