Description Public health protection is a complex and multidisciplinary issue. It is related, inter alia, to the process of environmental impact assessment. However, there are gaps in relevant legal regulation from the viewpoint of health risk assessment. Although the technologies using renewable energy are considered having benign environmental consequences, some projects can have negative impacts on human health. These effects must be taken into consideration by administrative authorities within relevant procedures. Their decision-making may be influenced by public participation when executing fundamental human rights.
