Description This article analyzes the story for young people L encre du poulpe by Sylvie Germain. The animal, which plays an important role in the work, is unusual as well. This is an octopus. This is the story of a girl called Laure. Her marriage splits up, and she intends to commit suicide. During her visit to the seaside aquarium she sees an octopus in one aquarium and the reflection of her face on the glass. She is shocked. In the ink, expulsed by the octopus, her anxiety and pain is drown, she is able to breathe freely again. The animal becomes a mute witness to the internal transformation of the woman, who decides to reconcile herself with the past and who is looking for a new life.
