Description | The paper deals with the problem of reflecting primary and secondary texts of Russian children's literature in the Czech environment. The attention is focused on the 20th century - the most significant writers and theorists of Russian children's literature in the "Soviet period" - M. Gorky, K. Tschukovsky, S. Marshak, A. Gaidar). Furthermore, the changes that appeared in the Russian children's literature of the late 20th century have been included on the example of Russian receptions of A. Gaidar’s work. Mutual inspiration impulses can of course be observed in the field of children's literature on both Russian and Czech sides even before the 20th century (in the Czech reflection of Russian children's literature this particularly concerned Leo Tolstoy), these initiatives were, however, quite specifically modified and intensified in the years 1948-1989, i.e. during the Communist regime in Czechoslovakia. This can be demonstrated on the Czech theoretical journals Úhor, Štěpnice and Zlatý máj. The year 1989 then appears to be the breaking point for Russian children's literature in the Czech environment as it represented the beginning of the interruption which continues in the Czech reflection of the development of Russian children's literature until today. On the above example the article concerns the question of the viability of Russian fairy-tale texts in the Czech environment. |
