Description | The chapter is concerned with the issue of the Romani population, suggests ways of actuating socially disadvantaged groups and points out the difficulty of the Romani people with education, which is to a certain degree segregated and discriminating towards Romani pupils. The research brings into attention the prejudice perceived by Romani students held against them by the majority. The analysis discovers possible links between discrimination, prejudice and the approach of the Romani population towards education. It further notices means of inclusion, such as the role of teacher assistants at schools. |
