The knowledge related to various landscape structures, both the natural and cultural landscapes, is presented. There are clearly processed methods of geographic landscape studies - stationary, expeditionary, laboratory, distance and others dealing with the description of the state and dynamics. A considerable attention is paid to the creation of landscape documentation - landscape maps and multidimensional models, but also digital geo-databases. Data from various sources can be efficiently processed using by the purpose oriented expert systems. The examples demonstrate procedures of the assessment of landscape potential, natural hazards, ecological landscape stabilizing as the application ways of the landscape science in the landscape management. There are discussed various working procedures demonstrated on examples from specific areas on the territory of Czech Republic in the appendix. There are demonstrated also completing practices of complex landscape maps and management of historical landscape studies. The statements contained in this publication are based on a wide range of domestic and foreign literature both of the Eastern and Western origin.
