| Description | The paper deals with the construct of otherness in the books for children by Markéta Pilátová. The authoress makes use of the construct of otherness to get the children through the world in which they themselves live using the reversed perspective ot "other" characters. In doing so, she uncompromisingly demolishes gender stereotypes and xenophobic and homophobic prejudices. |
