Description The study focuses on interlingual transfer of text-linguistic competence of pupils whose mother tongue is Czech and who are learning English as L2 and German as L3. The examination was performed using a text-linguistic analysis of written invitations. The chapter first determined the type of text invitation and then present the results of the accompanying examination that relate to the relevance of the invitation text as contained in the curricula, standardized language tests and language textbooks. The main attention is devoted to examining the written invitation of primary school pupils who compiled it in English as L1, L2 such as English and German as L3. The following is a presentation of the results of the qualitative-quantitative textual analysis of the obtained text corpus, which further illuminate the processes by successive transfer when learning multiple languages.
