| Description | The goal of this chapter is to describe and analyze the unjustly neglected philosophy-sociological theme “History and Purpose of the National Sports Teams”. Main purpose of our work is to focus on both of those aspects: nation and national pride and sport and politics in sport. Our research attempted to apply classical definition of nation and state to world of sport throughout history and present national sports teams. We can divide results into four short parts of the result. First part is about historical content. Second is an explained difference between national and state sport team. Third describes national sports stars and heroes in comparison with other popular people in the country. And last article is based on second main topic of the paper “purpose of the sport national sports teams”. This part of discussion is about controversial issues dealing with sports clubs and residences of sportsmen. This article also compares benefits of the nation representation with culture and science. |
