Description Columbite-tantalite group minerals are extensively mined from alluvial placers near Kamakwie, Sierra Leone. Chemical composition and evolutionary trend of these minerals are presented. This extreme composition may be useful, along with trace elements variability and geochronological information, for the „fingerprinting“ of Ta ores.
