Description | The First Aid is the skill which saves lives. The results of research showed the low level of knowledge of people (e.g. Reissmannová, 2010), which points out the inadequate preparation of citizens within the field of First Aid. The recommendations for improving the current situation are focused on the implementation this issue in the curriculum of all subjects in the grammar school e.g. mathematics and physics. The possibilities are described in this paper. It is necessary to strengthen the teaching of first aid at Faculty of Education. We prepered the new subject of First Aid, based on constructivist and cooperative theory of teaching, and on more effective methods of teaching, such as skills creating, situational method, etc. |
