Description The study scrutinizes a finding from the author's research mapping the history of Czech Volksschule during the First Czechoslovak Republic. The study presents findings on the everyday lives of selected volksschule teachers of the Czech language in the judicial district of Ústí nad Labem during the First Czechoslovak Republic. It examines the arrival of teachers into the northern part of then-Czechoslovakia, which was bilingual at that time. The author further explores the education and careers of those teachers, the time constraints which they faced while teaching, and the individual prestige of selected teachers. The study uses the methodology of the history of everyday life along with the concept of microhistory, which examines a chosen phenomenon in a spatially limited territory. Sources used in this research are found in the Archive of the City of Ústí nad Labem
