Description | The aim of this presentation is to explain the ways the Communist ideology in Czechoslovakia after 1948 made use of folk traditions. The collection of six tales inspired by folk traditions written by Pavel Kohout (1928) serves as an example of the ideological manipulation in the sphere of children's literature. This collection, titled On Black and White, represents an important testimonial of a bygone era, which deserves to be studied attentively. |
