Description | History of chemistry, as well as history of other science subjects, is usually ranked among important means of motivation. The authors of this work carried out a directed content analysis (with respect to mentions about history of chemistry) of all higher secondary school chemistry textbooks published on the territory of the Czech Republic from 1945 to 2012. They suggested possible ways of classification of these mentions and they tried (by means of a questionnaire survey) to figure out what force of motivation attach pupils and students to different kinds of the mentions about history of chemistry. |
