Description | In recent-years children's reading is popular issue, discussed widely among the Czechs. Following this discussion we can identify two main myths: (1) a dramatic decline of children readers, or (2) the negative effect of electronic media. We present children's reading habits in their historical context and discuss selected findings from the author`s research during the previous year 2014 in the Czech Republic. The research focused on aspects that impact individual reading of ten-year old pupils in elementary school. |
