Description OPQOL-35 (Older People´s Quality of Life Questionnaire) was created by Ann Bowling from the University College London in the Great Britain. Its assumption is that quality of life is multidimensional trait composed (in the British version) by eight factors. The questionnaire was translated to Czech language and administered to 482 respondents. 212 of them (44 %) was aged 60-69, 165 (34 %) 70-79 and 104 (22 %) was older than 80 years. Factor analysis identified seven factors in the Czech version: 1. health, self-reliance and activeness, 2. finances, 3. family and secure base, 4. loneliness, 5. satisfaction with life, 6. positive approach to life, and 7. religion. Czech version had good reliability (Cronbach alphas .726-.905) and validity and it is suitable for future research. We prepared also the short version, which we are verifying now.
