Description The aim of the study is the summary of the results of two research studies concerning the attitudes of respondents to the selected musical samples. The first research is called The Attitudes of University Students in the Czech Republic to the Artificial Music of the First Two-Thirds of the Twentieth Century and the second Research on Musicality 1990 . These studies were carried out in the Czech Republic. The paper presents the results of these researches, which are related to the music preferences of the respondents. Both researches also emphasize the importance of music education.
