Description Research of Musical Preferences, which was focused on artificial music of the first two thirds of the twentieth century was held by research team from Music Department of Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in 2015. There search was implemented on national level – it was aimedat university students in the Czech republic and it was conducted via audio questionnaires, through which respondents expressed thein attitude to music samples. This paper presents the result s achieved in music research – it contains the results of positive, neutral and negative attitudes of the respondents to musical samples, outputs of identification of composers, reasons of the respondents for finishing listening to music samplesetc. The results of the Research of Musical Preferences also indirectly represent certain probeconcerning the quality of receptive aspects of Music Education in schools and could be perceived as a feedback for teachers of Music Education.
