Description The issue of the perception of colours and their effect on humans is quite neglected, although with colours and its effect on us we encounter since our birth and then during our entire life However, colours are not for us only what we see, they do not enter passively to our vision, but they are acting on our psyche, influencing our feelings and our behaviour. But often we do not know what is it colour, why one flower is red and the other yellow. The term “colour” is similar to number; it is abstract, intangible, because the world around us is in fact a non-coloured. All colours are in fact hidden in the light that appears to our sight colourless. However, from the light colours are born, they live in the light, and without light colours disappear. The lecture gives an explanation of why and how we have coloured vision, what was the explanation of colours throughout the history, how colours are seen by people with impaired colour perception, and by some animals.
