| Description | This artilcle deals with the evolution and the specific features of "hantec" a sociolect used by the inhabitans of Brno. While the sociolect derives from the so-collled "plotna", the original language of the underclass during the period between the two word wars, it has been developer under the term "hantec" among artists and the young. Despite the hype in the media and the resulting caricutarizatuion, thes sociolect has become a symbol od iodentity not only for the inhabitans of Brno but also the traditional local languages marker. |
