Description | In his contribution, the author focuses on the situation of children with disordered behaviour and emotions. In doing so, he concentrates on the role played by the relationships of these children with the so-called education professionals (education facility teachers – educators, orthopedists, etc.) within the special education process of education in ethopedy. He emphasises the potential associated with these relationships in the support of social inclusion of these children. The author supports his conjectures by the concept of stigmatization by Ervin Goffman, in particular, by his concept of relationships between stigmatized people (children exhibiting disordered behaviour and emotions in this case) and the professionals (educators, etc., in this case) coming into contact with them within their professions. Goffman refers to these professionals as the so-called dedicated professionals and perceives them as persons who have a certain insight into the situation of a stigmatized individual without carrying the stigmatizing attributes themselves. The contribution will present selected findings of the qualitative research, the participants in which were the so-called education professionals of education facilities exercising institutional or protective education. |
