| Description | This paper captures the legal aspects of animals through the lenses of ancient Roman law. It is remarkable to follow the changes of legal conception of animals during the centuries, especially if we compare it with the contemporary legal conception of animals in the Act No. 89/2012 Sb. Coll. - Civil Code. The animals are not objects of law any more which is contradictory to the Roman law conception. |
