| Description | The lecture consisted of two parts. Part One provided a summary of the history of the English newspaper from its birth in the 17th century to the present time. Part Two outlined the current situation, including the ownership of newspapers in Britain, current problems and issues such as decline in readership or tabloidization of serious press. |
