Description	Variability in RAGE gene can play a role in the development of diabetes and its complications. Promoter SNP -429T/C (rs1800625), that influences the expression of RAGE protein and is asscociated with different production of proinflammatory mediators, may be one of risk factors of T1DM with CP development in the Czech population.
