Description | The authors of this contribution present the results of a quantitative research carried out in 2015 with a large sample of headteachers at Czech basic schools. Based on a factor analysis of data (EFA) obtained from a self-constructed questionnaire, they have identified eight focus areas in educational leadership: teacher needs, social climate, interest in pupils, school vision, cooperation with parents, curriculum, educational results and professional development. This contribution presents selected results of follow-up analyses pointing out the relations between instrumental values (Rokeach Value Survey) as preferred by headteachers and the focus of educational leadership. |
