Description | This study is about the pressing issue of jihadist propaganda, a significant global security threat. Such propaganda may take many forms. In this book, the focus is on English-language jihadist propaganda disseminated freely via online magazines. Production of these magazines is at boom levels, with continuously radicalizing content. Th is makes it essential to research the phenomenon in greater detail. The study is qualitative, based upon the propaganda analysis model of Garth Jowett and Victoria O’Donnell, from their book Propaganda and Persuasion, modified to make it effective in analysing propaganda of this type. It is a pioneering project in the Czech Republic, offering a detailed, systematic analysis of three jihadist magazines backed by significant Islamic organizations. |
