Description The issue of early intervention for children with perinatal stress is currently highly topical in the Czech Republic. In many foreign countries a speech therapist is part of the team providing intervention for the specified group of children. This trend is becoming increasingly important also in our conditions. Highly specialised speech therapist activities include intervention in the area of assessment of feeding and oral abilities in children with perinatal risks and application of intervention procedures from the point of view of communication between the parent and the child. The contribution presents the conclusions of research analysing the provision of early speech therapy intervention for children with perinatal risks from the point of view of speech therapists
