Description This paper addresses the subject of feedback and its effect on SL or FL student writing. The first part outlines the problems, briefly summarises theoretical concepts and defines basic terms. The second part presents Czech and international studies which explore the themes of feedback in SL or FL writing classes. The aim of the article is to justify the choice of the theme for the dissertation which focuses on the effect of feedback on EFL university student writing.
