Software art is contemporary art practice challenging a common notion of software as a mere useful tool. Software art also comments profound shift in creating, producing and reception of images in the age of digital technologies. That's why software art seems to be a vital educational tool suited for the development of critical and creative knowledge of software in the context of art education.
